Brexit - Effect on repro flight jacket enthusiast

With a sales tax of 21% on top of the price and postage costs here in Holland no more new (or secondhand) jackets from the UK for me I'm afraid...

On a £1,000 jacket that means you have 4 possibilities
1. Don’t buy
2. You could have a weekend in Devon for the cost of the tax & shipping and wear the jacket home
3. Someone could ship for you & not declare the value just like if you were buying outside the EU. What would you do buying from the US fir example ?
4. Netherlands could leave the EU too and set up a unilateral trade agreement. Or the EU could simply collapse as Italy, Hungary etc leave....

We live in exciting times

That’s ridiculous..... 21% ??
I guess that’s a signal of things to come.
and I thought 7% was a screwing here.

No-one is saying 21% Burt, it has to be a guess.
Remember, it is the receiving country that decides the charge. If the Dutch Govt wanted 21% , they can ask for it. But will they ?
Correction, if Brussels wants to dictate, EU member states gave those rights up..

I have heard whispers that Boris is intending the repeal of the Scotland Act, shutting down our parliament, ridding himself of us troublesome self determining Scots (He really hates Nicola). Watch the sparks fly if he tries it, he has such a majority that he can steamroller it through leaving UDI as the only recourse.
Aero may yet be in a different country.
