What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

What a jacket! My granddad was on the Yorktown as an electrical engineer. I always knew I wanted to fly, and one time I asked him if he knew many pilots. He said he tried not to make friends with them, because usually, they didn't last very long.

A Request for the G-1 ID Wizards

Hey VLJ wizards! I've had a blast reading around the forum, learning quite a bit about history, and all about the venerable G-1. Eastman is in my sights, but in the interim, I needed a flying jacket that I won't feel bad about beating up, stuffing into my pubs bag and putting my tags onto. So...

Discussion “A Better Fighting Garment…” - A Beginner’s Guide to the US Navy’s WWII-era and later Intermediate Flight Jackets

    New-in-box, 1985 USAF pilot's watch: GG-W-113, $2200

Issued watches... a different time back then. For all the hate I get, my Casio just simply won't die. I've made a vow to wear it til it does, so, may be here awhile.

Original Cool WW2 Talon poster ad

Surprisingly on the nose for an ad. "Yeah, my buddy almost burned to death, glad we had this zipper..." HAH. Suppose if you're in the zipper business you've got to grab their attention. Wish we still had these. Half my zippers have broken off my flight suits.
