Also, I already have a Ralph Edwards from 64 in the same size, the only problem with that one is its sleeve being all cracked, so it's impossible to wear it or repair it, I showed it to Steve and he gave me the bad news. But... The rest of it is in excellent condition as well. So now I have...
Yeah... I'm in love with the jacket. I think the very first original one I had made me scared of buying more because of its state, I thought they are all like this and started leaning more towards the repro market. Now with this one in had I understand it's a matter of patience. And for 220$...
Yeah it's not too bad, as long as it holds up for another few years. But in general the jacket sits very well, I'm very stoked that the leather is supple... Will be a great daily jacket.
So, just received the jacket. Will be posting some pictures soon. Very happy with it actually. The condition is pretty good, definitely some wear in some spots but I think most of you will consider it more as patina. Wasteband is still original and has some life left in it, surprisingly still...

Hello all,
I'm on the fence between 2 g-1s right now. One of them is a Brill Bros D series made in 71, the second is a Ralph Edwards C series probably a 64 model.
I did some research and I understand the Brill bros D models are hit or miss, most have stamped cowhide, synthetic fur, double...
That looks beautiful!! May I ask you where you got that nameplate? I've been looking online but haven't found something definitive.
Beautiful colors on those patches! Looks awesome!
Good day all!
I was wondering how any of you "decorate your cwu jackets? Ive had mine for a little over a year now, it used to be someone's jacket judging by the major ranks that came on the jacket when I got it off eBay. It also has velcro on each upper arm and on both chest sides, so I have...
Wow thanks for such a detailed answer, I will start doing my research and save addresses for the military surplus stores around those areas! Considering I'll be doing multiple places I'm crossing my fingers that I will manage to find something cool. I'm also hoping to bring back patches. All my...
