You can see the outline in the photos on where the original silk label would have been tack-stitched in. My friend who I purchased it from had owned the Irvin for around 30 years. He used to wear it occasionally, and sadly the silk label disintegrated. I imagine at the time he was not...

One of my projects as we go into the summer will be a brand-new section dedicated entirely to the Battle of Britain. I am working with a very well-known dealer friend, and some other collector friends, to put it together. Hopefully it will be quite impressive when it is complete!

I have. Duxford have one in their museum as part of an interactive display for their new BoB experience. You get what you pay for. They look alright from a distance, but they feel cheap and they are no where near as close to an original as a Sefton repro. I would always recommend saving up...
