The chap in the foreground (in the t-shirt) is modelled by one of my mates. He works at Weta Workshop and the artist of this mural got him and his other workmates to model.

I think they’ve been doing that for a long time (see: Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Czeckoslovakia etc in the 20th C)
