    Bundesluftwaffe jacket with leather collar

I was going to post that I traded one of these jackets a few years back and then realized that I took all those photos. Still wearing the one I traded for.

I Listed a French Air Force (P/N) leather flight jacket on eBay today

This is the 2nd P/N jacket I've bought in the last five years. The first one was too small and unfortunately this one is too big. I assumed a French size 58 jacket would fit about like a 46 U.S. but it really fits like a 48. I am fairly certain it is a commercial jacket since it has a...

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

Sure. From the old ads for Flying Equipment Co. that I have found in 1950's "Flying" and "Guns" magazines the company makes it sound like they resold surplus military jackets. Maybe they bought Star Sportswear produced jackets and sold them under their own lable?

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

I am convinced that Flying Equipment Co or Star Sportswear was still selling jackets into the early 1970's and this is a 1970ish commercial G-1 made by Star Sportswear :) It looks just like a Star Sportswear G-1 after they switched to a synthetic collar and all the tags including the government...

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

One more piece of data I found. The WPL (Wool Products Labeling Act) tag in this jacket is WPL3456 which according to this website http://blog.fullgear.net/?eid=804417 belongs to Star Sportswear Corp.

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

Ties70, Yep your G-1 looks much older and I am sure it is an authentic Flying Equipment Co jacket. Does it have the elastic bands inside the back? Thanks!

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

So do issue 1950s-1960s G-1s have the four internal elastic bands attached to the "action back" which are a feature of this jacket that makes me think it was made in the 80s? Thanks again and sorry for beating this horse some more.

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

Yeah, like I said, I figured the weirdness would keep bidders away so and I didn't feel bad about bidding $60 for it. I have seen photos of those old bluish liners in the real Flying Equipment Co jackets. The liner in this one is identical to the brown one in the 1970 Star Sportswear G-1 I had...

Can anyone tell me about this Flying Equipment Company G-1 with A-2 Label?

I paid $59.95 for it so I don't feel foolish. I was pretty sure it wasn't from Flying Equipment Company when I bid on it since it has an A-2 tag in it instead of G-1. I just took a closer look and there are four elastic bands between the liner and the leather. That makes me think 1980s like...
