Provided that they are still making money by selling the jacket in China locally for USD400, that's still a big difference, especially Bronson (International) does not have a physical shop anywhere in the world.
Wow, I just saw this post. Looks like Bronson (international) has come a long way. I tried to look at the price at their official taobao shop for the D-1 and it came out like this right now. It looks to me that whoever runs Bronson international is really making a huge profit from you...
Designer or even bespoke boutique leather jackets are made with a completely different philosophy, soft, supple, made and cut to the latest styles. Craftsmanship are usually top-notch, with almost flawless finish in terms of QCs. As for Eastman/Aero, BK, RM etc (I am not including Goodwear here...
Absolutely. Suzie Fletcher, the mentioned leather expert, is specialised in saddle making repair. I doubt that she has enough knowledge about vintage leather flight jackets. But if specified, I am pretty sure she can restore the jacket to its former glory. The owner most likely only saw that the...
You'll be surprised. If the shop is located in London, there are plenty of rich Saudi princes and Chinese students who can just flash their (more like their parents') credit cards and take whatever they want from the shop.

Wow, good to know. I haven't been to Covent Garden for a long time. In fact I am trying to avoid going to central London unless if it is necessary. TFL is bloody expensive and even if you drive, you still need to pay for the stupid congestion charge during the weekends, which makes no sense...
If you are strictly NOT buying Chinese brands, Buzz is the one for you. You can't go wrong with their B-10 for sure.
If you are looking at Chinese brands, try Bob Dong as well, IMHO, their jackets are better than Bronson.
Regardless of all the 'issues' in China, logistics seems to be one of their strength. Other than China Post, the official postal service, there are also some huge courier companies such as SF Express etc, owned by Ali. The sheer 'volume' seems to be their answer to the low cost of deliveries...
I just bought one recently, never had the chance to take any pictures nor wrote anything about it, yet. Work has been quite hectic at the moment and the heatwave in the UK didn't help. Let me see what I can do about it.
