I’m soon to be(hopefully) wearing a QMI A2. After a month or so of tire kicking, deliberating and second guessing I pulled the trigger on a seal model. The pictures of it from the QMI post and the fact by some miracle they had an off the rack 54 in my measurements sold me on it. The clincher was that because it’s off the rack I can return it. No more being being stuck with a poor fitting custom job! It shipped out yesterday morning and has a delivery date by 10/20. These are the pictures I was sent.

That’s a good question, Dmitry. I don’t recall ever seeing a stamp like that on an original, although that doesn’t mean they didn’t appear occasionally. I think the Japanese makers are particularly fond of them, although they’re also the ones who gave us red knits on a B-10, so they’re not above creative license.

Yes, when I see them, I immediately remember the Japanese first of all. It would be interesting to know true.
