A lovely sunny but chilly 12C morning here in London UK so going to pop out for a while in the only repro jacket I've owned, a BR ANJ3A. In over 20+ years I've only worn it 3 or 4 times, the horsehide is still creaking, don't think I'll ever wear it in so may put it in teh sale section. think these are fairly rare model from BR, I've only seen a couple come up for sale in Japan in teh last few years.

Yeah, the collar on that AN-J-3 looks pretty cool. Looks like they aimed for a bit of the wackiness that is the W&G AN-J-3 collar without going all in on it. It's a good effect!

AVI's ANJ-3... New kid on the block, will get better pics soon. Digging the collar. So comfy.

Looks like a winner Brett. The collar really does look great, which does not seem to be an easy feat with an AN-J-3. I typically prefer no epaulets, but those look right at home. Good decision on Morten's part to add them.

Do you notice any difference in fit compared to your Avi M-422A? I know they're basically the same pattern, but the AN-J-3 looks like it fits you a touch better.

I don’t own any navy jackets, but my open cockpit time tells me it would be a better choice. With the A2 a scarf was a must. Some how the wind always finds it’s way down the back of your neck. And with the collar up , it just adds the feel of a cold slab of leather on the back of your neck.

Yes, it does fit a bit better. No pull in the chest. Haven't had a chance to measure and compare them, but will do for reference.
