Interesting, ordered end of January, zero response to emails, AMEX about to reaccredit money and advise PayPal not to accept transactions. Not happy……

Mine was the same. Ordered December 21. I emailed about every month with no response until may. Said they would ship in June and offered to refund me until it was ready to ship. June came and went so I emailed them last week. Said it was shipped July 6. A week later I had it. And no tax or duties which was a big bonus.

Frustrating I know. But as everyone else has said, it’s worth it. Mine was 7 months almost to the day. The jacket is beautiful. And not getting dinged for duties and taxes means it cost me 860 Canadian. That is friggin cheap for what you get.

If he could just get someone to shoot an email now and then he’d probably be so busy it would take 2 years to get one.

No offense and I don't want this to sound snarky, but at this point in the game it should be clearly known that this is Platon's Standard Operating Procedure. Did this not meet your expectations or are you just unhappy that there is no communication and it is taking a while?

As far as I know, every single person who has ordered a Platon jacket has received it. I have ordered and received two, and will likely order a third.

You can't get a better jacket for the price and at least the wait isn't 2, 3, 5 or whatever years at Good Wear; and unlike the maker who will remain nameless, at least you will get your jacket.

It's okay - you can say Jay at Headwind. ;) The way I figure, the more we bring up his bullshit, the less likely newbies are to get lured in.

Jacket is on its way! Along with the news confirming the G1 effort…..

Anybody got a ballpark figure for how long Greek post takes?
Keep in mind that the second half of August is the vacation period for the Greeks, at the moment I am in Athens and everything seems to be quieter than usual!

Jay is now offering a custom $1,000 plus 37J1-ish leather jackets on eBay saying he has the original spec details

Just saw it myself.

I'll point out that finding the contract specifications means very little in terms of getting an accurate jacket. The whole reason why different contracts of flight jackets varied so widely is the government didn't give the companies a pattern to follow. Jay's making it sound like this is the equivalent of Gary Eastman finding an original A-1, but it's not even close.

Who on earth around here is going to trust that dodgy, thieving bugger now though? He tried to stiff Burt, and Stew (Cabbie) has lost the cash he paid for a jacket. Jay stole his money and never supplied the jacket. There's others here who have had the same bullshit treatment and chimed in here about it too.

He's as crooked as a dog's hind leg.
