What Price Glory M-51 Jackets

I have my Uncle's M-1951, and I have sadly beaten it to death.

Good to see a Repro being made, I may have to jump on one
if the reviews will be positive.

I like the M-51 the best among the versions over the years. The zipper and additional length over the M-43 make it more practical and better looking to me, and I prefer the normal collar compared to the M-65. I still have one vintage M-51 which is quite wearable, but it's been tucked away for years. Maybe I'll bring it out this fall.

Norwegian M-43 lookalike to replace it as my camp jacket
Got one of those myself and wear it often, but I like having a zip instead of the buttons.

OTOH -- I didn't know the waist drawstring on the M-51 was external. Just a little clunky.

I personally hate zippers since I can't adjust the length from standing up to sitting down/driving like a buttoned coat offers.
Plus the Norwegians used a heavy tent canvas material which is that much warmer than the American jacket.... only downside is that you can't it in a liner, though a hoodie works out well

The only coat I have that problem with is a department store, 3/4 length leather. It's actually a similar cut to a B-6 with pretty heavy, thick leather and binds up weird when I sit in a car with it zipped.
