Hans-Joachim Marseille jacket

I was wondering if anyone here knows a reproduction (as accurate as possible) of the jacket worn by the German ace Hans-Joachim Marseille?

Here is a picture of the jacket :

Here are pictures of a miniature, the jacket is quite well reproduced, it can help to visualize the cut and proportions :

Not that I've ever seen. It's a neat design though. This might be a good one to send to Shawn. Or, even better, maybe Steve Sellers could make a jacket like this?
Steve Sellers makes this jacket. And it's probably the most beautiful reproduction I know of. A short jacket, as it should be, but some details are different : shape, number and location of pockets, double row of buttons (there is only one row on the original), addition of a zip,...
It's still a nice jacket in the spirit of the period, but I'm looking for something more accurate. But I'd love to hear more from @STEVE S. 's jacket ;)
Here are some pictures of this jacket, which in my opinion, deserves to be highlighted :

The Fivestar option is quite possible and it could be a great project !

Nice jacket to be sure, but that's a lot of big buttons...

Thedi leathers.
Theo made a very accurate copy of my China Air Motive B3

Oh yes indeed, it's been a long time since I've been to the Thedi Leathers website. Thanks John for this suggestion, I hadn't thought of it.
This jacket is pretty close, although it's still a little too long and some of the details are not right compared to the jacket I want to get, but it's not bad. It is mentioned that the jacket is available with other types of leather (black is not what I'm looking for). I don't know how open Theo would be to customization, there would actually be a lot of things to change...
There is no clear information about the price but from what I could see, it would be between $1000 and $1500. That's a lot, but the quality seems to be good.

Some photos of the jacket in question :

My Radjacke is similar, not sure if Aero would make one for you with a collar
Ok... the investigation is progressing, thanks again John for your help.
I've just become aware of this Aero Leather jacket (which doesn't seem to be available on the current site).
I found a picture of you on Fedora Lounge wearing one, I understand it is this jacket :

It is a very nice jacket !

The overall look is very close to what I'm looking for, even if some of the details are different, including of course the collar. It's a great find.

I found this variant of the Aero Radjacke, with the collar!
The jacket seems way too big (I hope I don't offend anyone)... but it's interesting to know that there were some with a collar :

Yes the cut is not good at all on this last picture

EDIT : I added some pictures of the original Hans Joachim Marseille jacket on my initial post.
It's a small and very short jacket.

Kermit you can ask shawn ali @ 5 star... He can make one for you ... He does some customisation. You provide your dimensions as well as alot of pictures of the jacket and what sort of leather you want. Remember that he was the only one to cope with my father 's B3 and adjust it to my size . Jacket was completely dissassembled and redone with correct straps and buckles and some new HH leather. and the most important the price was very affordable .... Maybe worth a try?

flyincowboy it is exactly my thoughts.
I don't want to put too much money into this project. Thedi Leather will probably make a high quality jacket, but since this is a very custom jacket, I don't want to risk paying a lot of money and not getting what I want.

Fivestar has proven that they can handle ambitious custom projects... and as you say, the budget will stay right. So even if it doesn't fit, it's not dramatic.

For the moment I'm doing some research with the few pictures available on the internet. It is important for me to "understand" the jacket to be able to give the right instructions.
I think it's actually a jacket very close to the French cyclist jackets. The cut is short, close to the body, the back is in one piece of leather (I found a video where we see it). I can't figure out if there are buckles on the bottom of the sides like on the Hartmann jacket. The front part is of course different, with the cross closure with a single row of buttons, 4 pockets without buttons very off-center and no belt buckle.

I think about it...

Thanks for this picture Brice ! Too bad your project to make a replica HJM jacket did not materialize. ;)

The jacket on the picture is very close to the one Marseille was wearing. It looks very short to me, but it's probably a visual effect due to the wide collar.
I have a hard time making the parallel between a jacket laid flat and a jacket worn. It's probably a question of practice.

Can you tell me Brice, if the jacket Marseille is wearing has similarities in its cut/construction to the cycling jackets ? It seems to me that the back part is relatively identical. The sleeves are also similar.

I agree that all modern reproductions are quite far from the real thing... even if some do better than others.
