Best bronco

Aside from good wear of course, who makes the best bronco A2, regardless of price.

@Brettafett knows more about Broncos than I do, and as I recall, his opinion was that there are some details of the Bronco contracts that only Good Wear gets right. (Please jump in and correct me if I'm misremembering, Brett.) If GW is off the table, I think your best bet is to go all in on "best bang for your buck" and get an AVI. If it's not going to be spot-on accurate anyway, why spend around a grand in Canadian dollars?

Those are my priorities though. Your mileage may vary. If you just want a high-end jacket that will look pretty close, Aero's a good bet.

Hmmm. There’s a good wear bronco on eBay. I usually take a 46 in Eastman, Platon etc but talking to John it sounds like he updated the sizing so a 44 might work. Modern jackets I would take a 44. For some reason the listing won’t let me contact the seller. He’s asking 1300 and I don’t want to start bouncing offers back and forth to find out he wants 1250

So true, “best offer” often equates to just this. Well said.

I guess I have to figure out in my head wether it’s worth all the extra cash to “know”I have the best, or would I even notice the difference.

Might be worth waiting until we're back in British time so that Brett can weigh in. Either he'll tell you what details, or he'll say "what's Jan even talking about? Go with an Aero!"

I’ve been there myself more then once. Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay

If you were looking for a 46 Bronco and considering spending $ 1200 -1300 , can I ask why didn’t you consider the vintage original Bronco 46 that was on Aero’s website today . It was in pretty decent shape and was about $1245.00 US.
It’s gone now but it was up there for about 4 or 5 hours . It was nice .

Didn’t see it

FWIW, I find buying an original is a poor substitute for a repro, if you're looking for a jacket you can wear. Trust me, I've tried. :oops:o_O

Late to the party...GW obviously makes the next best thing to an original (and DD's Bronco looks good also - there was one for sale on TFL, 42 or 44).
Aero's Bronco is a nice jacket, like all their jackets... but unless they've updated their Bronco pattern, its not 100%
Not sure if the Japanese made a version... but no one else makes a Bronco repro.
I'd asked BK in the past and they have an original, but I was told they dont plan on reproducing it... Pity, Im sure they'd make a killer Bronco.

So, theat leaves AVI. Its nowhere near GW obviously, but its fun jacket, and well worth the price.
Im tempted to get a russet, but until the Monarch goes, Im putting pennies in the jar for the GW.

Edit: Ive just seen a pic of someone wearing an Aero Bronco and it does appear they have updated their jacket. It looks good.
They've improved the pockets for sure... Cant say much else.

DD's Brocno

yes Aero did update their pattern and details...............I have heard this from a few sources ................... but, besides the pockets, don't know the other changes.
