How are these for sizes?
I wear around a 44 or XL for a US made jacket, so would I have to go XXL, or would even that be big enough?

So, why are the ebay listings so specific that they run small for the marked sizes?
You asked for an opinion as to what size would be appropriate for you and I offered an opinion based on my experience with that particular brand and size of jacket . I suggest you ask the seller this question. If you need some additional info, here’s a photo that might help you .
I’m 6”1’ and 220 lbs . This Jinruishi L-2b is a size XL .

And I really appreciated that. But I'm sure you'd agree it seems odd the seller listed above would be specific on smaller than US sizes when you have made a very strong case for the sizes maybe running larger than marked (I wouldn't think a guy with your dimensions would find an XL to be a nice fit, sounds like you're between normal XL and 2XL).

I normally wear a size 46 - 48 depending on the cut of the jacket. I had originally ordered a size XXL but as soon as I tried it on, I realized it was too baggie on me.
Dealing with Chinese sizing is a crap shoot at best. My original suggestion to you was based on the premise that all Jinrushi made jackets would probably follow the same sizing patterns, however maybe thats not the case.

Here are the measurements of an XXL
Shoulder seam to Shoulder Seam 20.5 inches
Shoulder seam down arm to end of knit cuff 28 inches
Arm pit seam to arm pit seam 27 inches
Rear collar seam down back to bottom of knits 26 inches
Knit waist across 16 inches
Hope that helps
I can also give you the measurements of an XL if needed .

Thanks again.
Which vendor did you order yours from?

Well, I'd ordered one from Amazon, and two weeks later I got a refund noting they were out of XL ones (though the listing still says it was shipped, with a tracking number).
As soon as I confirmed the refund, I found a ePay vendor who had them, so the dream live on and I hope to have mine before the end of this month.

Why in such a hurry? That's a summer jacket ;)

Why in such a hurry? That's a summer jacket ;)
Three reasons:
  1. They're available now. They might not be when it gets warmer
  2. I have the money now (from selling an article and just getting the payment yesterday). I might not have it available when it gets warmer
  3. It doesn't get very cold here for very long. A lighter jacket gets used far more often here than a heaver one

Surprisingly these jackets can work in colder climates with a sweater or sweatshirt layered underneath . It really blocks the wind pretty well .

I just got my L2B today, after the usual wait from a China delivery.
it's pretty good, especially for what you pay for one. Yeah, it has US Air ForceS written on the inside, but I can let that slide. It's not a perfect L2, but for what you pay, it's darned good and well worth what I paid for it. Thanks for this forum for making me aware of these as I never would have ordered one otherwise without the feedback here (same for the Bronson MA-1 I got earlier).
It fit pretty well, the sleeve length was fine, though the space across the shoulders was just a little narrower than I would have liked (but it does fit). In other words, I can wear it with a t-shirt and it also worked with a light sweater underneath, but it's not nearly as large as others have encountered with their own.
Then again, my wife says a lot of my jackets are too big for me...
Maybe this is just in time. We're in for several days of high pressure and temps along the coast almost into the 60s (which is quite unheard of for this area). But even then, it doesn't stay "well digger's bum" cold all winter long, where I live.

The pocket flap shape of L2 series jackets always look elegant to me. Probably the only Nylon flight jacket I don't have. Might try one of these
