This is a BK picture that compares theirs to an original. I'd rather stay away from posting other makers, but it has a decent profile of the original collar.

That is not a bad job from @Shawn Ali and the FS team...not bad at all!

I must say that the first thing that impressed me when the pics were posted, was the collar stand ... on recent jackets, for example the first "Werber inspired" jackets from FS, that detail always looked a little "rough" and "amateur"-ish... Would be great to see some closeups of the front seams, though.

As Geoff said, the United Carr snaps are slightly different, but hey...They are United Carrs!

The collar could be more pointy, as this seems to be how all other reproductions look like. But Shawn probably made a perfect copy of how a RW collar looks after 80 years, not right after production ;) . Just kidding...I think even the copied original looks a tad pointier...

The thing with FS labels is...they look slightly to yellow and bright. Originals and other makers seem to use a more golden and warmer thread.

The other thing is that they often look too dense, too tightly woven...therefore they are lacking the tiny gaps between the threads ... Does this make sense somehow?!

Finally, I wouldn't have chosen the color combination of leather and knits...but there are alternatives for lighter knits in the FS workshop, I guess.

As I said, not a bad first glimpse...

TIES i agree lighter knit and waistband will be better... like to see the real russet colour in daylight Aniway it's such a nice repro jacket

Dear @ties70

Thanks for your detailed thought, Please find my explanations on the point collar and its position

The images I posted above, as I explained the Real Jackets Main zipper was not working anymore because its pin is not available with the zipper Box, so My first image shows the results as below, also in this image original Jackets Buttoned were not pressed as well
DSC_1188.jpg

I explain this collar positioning just the matter of laying position, as in the Original Jacket its zipper and Hook was not in closing position and main zip was opened, whereas In Our reproduction as both the Zipper and Hook was closed properly so you can find the collar positioning difference, if we close the Hook of the Original Jacket as well its position will be like my below images

In the Above Image both Jackets collars are properly buttoned and Hook is also in closing position, but the Original Jackets Main zip is still opened.

Some more collar close ups with comparison are mentioned below
