Repro Crushers

I’m not sure if this thread is supposed to go in here or not but is anyone making repro crush caps anymore? I know Diamond Dave used to and there was a Society Brand Cap Co but it doesn’t appear they make them anymore. I’m looking for a repro tan or summer weight crusher.

Just yesterday I emailed Society brand inquiring about a purchase.i had a reply within the hour by the owner who stated he has been deployed but returning this Fall and will be assuming hat making when he gets back. While we are on the subject, has anyone heard of a nice repro marked “The Fortress by Aviator made in England”? Kevin

Yes! As said, still a prototype, and he should get the crown to be lower, and a couple other changes, such as the buttons:

I think it was American Patrol Cap and Canvas. He was working on a "big project" as of last year and posted a couple pictures of a whole bunch of crusher together.

That might be the place to check with if anyone is interested in one of these . Probably had some overruns and might be interested in selling a few off .

Thanks, the video is a great general overview of the crusher cap and a good review of the Diamond repro which is no longer available.American Patrol Cap and Canvas has a Facebook page only, I can’t find a website.
