Red Wing Boots Savings !

Did you guys know that certain Red Wing Stores have access to “factory seconds “ that may have a scratch or some minor color differences. They don’t advertise it but they will sell you those boots and discontinued models of boots at significant savings . I just picked up a pair of RW Iron Ranger Boots in Ox Blood color which has been discontinued , for about $220.00 .Iron Ranger Boots normally sell for about $329.00. Not all stores offer this discount but certain stores including the RW Flag Ship store in Red Wing Minnesota has limited amounts of these factory seconds available . You just have to call their store and know the model and number of the boot you’re looking to buy . If you’re considering purchasing a new pair of boots this might be an option for some of you guys .
Cheers

That's what I paid for my IRs from Sierra Trading -- great discount. But I haven't seen RWs at Sierra for a long time -- wonder if RW took sole charge of seconds?

I’m not sure about that, but the main Red Wing store in Minnesota is located right near the factory, so I’m sure that they have a constant supply of factory seconds since they are at ground zero so to speak .

They usually have an annual sale (can't recall just when*) at the factory -- deep, deep discounts. People line up for miles.

I've thought about a second pair, but I can't justify the expense.

*Looks like that sale is in October -- didn't have it last year, fingers crossed for this year.
