An interesting aside is that Algha were a major supplier to the National Health Service until the market was deregulated in the '80's and they subsequently lost a lot of business. They managed to overcome this by rebranding and changing the trading name to Savile Row. As you found discovered Jeff the frames were / are popular with some well known individuals - but that's certainly NOT why I like them. I don't like is ostentatious bling, frames like this are the antithesis of that, I simply appreciate traditional craftsmanship and timeless design as the latter usually means it has reached the peak of development and are therefore as good as they can get :cool:

I like to think the celebrities wear them for the same reason ,they are not making a statement with the glasses hey look at me I can afford this but I now own a pair of glasses that wont let me down .

So what underwear do you have on Steve !.
And is that a Walkie Talkie in your hand Steve ?.

BIP

When all said and done they are just a pair of decent frames that can be had for a decent price if you shop around ;)
I think I'll let others discuss their undercrackers if they wish, I'll restrict my input to occasionally talking about the external stuff :D

Yes it was a walkie talkie.

F-ing freezing here, -7 but that damn Easterly from Siberia is still hitting so with windchill -16 but it feels twice as cold because that wind has had 1,000s of kms blowing over the Russian steppes to get colder and colder.

Today a Canada Goose parka. No point in taking a picture, it's modern, it's not leather, fighter/bomber wallahs didn't wear it in the war, but saying that it stopped my testicles from falling off from frostbite so that's a thumbs up from me.

Another chili day here and another chance to wear a pretty rare jacket not often seen here in the US . Before I go any further let me say a personal “thank you” to Greg Gale for passing this jacket on to me a couple of years ago . I could have never found one of these here in the US, so thanks Greg:)
So the jacket I’m wearing is an original issued Hungarian Mig fighter pilots jacket complete with shoulder patch and cloth flight wings . It has a detachable mouton collar. It’s a fairly large size and being a size 46 person, it fits me nicely . So here it is;
