Was curious if anyone here has owned or seen in person the reproduction Type B flying helmet offered by Soldier Of Fortune? If so what was your thoughts?
It’s not too bad, I live in the US as well and have purchased from overseas including SOF and it’s not that bad.I was looking at getting the SOF RAF C type helmet but its real pricy for me because I'm from the US
I sent him an email inquiring about his products.Steve Silburn's [Sefton] repros are a thing of beauty ...but as has been said you get what you pay for.
I sent him an email inquiring about his products.
Facebook page but you can contact him by email, he is backed up for a few months due to a film order.does Sefton have a website or is it just a Facebook page?
But.... did anyone see or handled the SOF B-type...?
Thanks ! Like you said; they look good on the website....I have. Duxford have one in their museum as part of an interactive display for their new BoB experience.
You get what you pay for. They look alright from a distance, but they feel cheap and they are no where near as close to an original as a Sefton repro.
I would always recommend saving up for one of Steve's masterpieces.
This is the email and prices he sent me, all in pounds so do the conversion to USDif Sefton's RAF C type is around or close to $200 I might consider
Gonna have a B-8 back pack chute for sale soon, replica made from the riggers depot if you’re interestedill defiantly need to think this over. i think ill probably get my repro chute before then
