Fairly chilly autumn walk today out on the Suffolk coast meant the first wear this year of my treasured ELC B3

33°F/0°C and breezy in Iowa and layering tests begin again.
Today it's the ELC A-1 over a beefy shawl cardigan. Eastmans are not cut to layer under, but it's workable as long as I can get the cardie to button shut at the neck. The A-1 won't.

Not about to layer sweater over leather. It works with heavy cloth, but with knit you need the windbreak on the outside.

London Cabbie

That’s a great looking jacket Cabbie ! .. I like the fact that you’re sort of wearing much like a fighter pilot did in WWII , flying around London in your own machine ...dodging enemy
machines coming at you from all different directions!
( I’ve been sitting at home to long haven’t I ?
My imagination is out of control) ;)
Thankyou
Actually it’s a lot of fun & frustration in equal measure. I try not to let any of it spoil my day... I look forward getting in the Taxi every day, it’s never changed. Unlike some of the fighter pilots I get to do it all again tomorrow...Jackets designed for cockpits work just as well in a Taxi too.
