Well, looks like Tim's won the race to get to Shearling weather this year. Better luck next time to our friends in Russia. ;)

Oh Dmitry will be catching up really quickly. I'm much further north than him so winter comes earlier but he's in inland Russia where they get COLD ;)

Yes @Smithy , same here. 27° on Tuesday, an Oxford shirt was too warm and yesterday night, 10°, C-2 vest, A-2 and escape map scarf were just warm enough. :D

It's nice though isn't it, proper jacket weather. We have pretty much full autumn here now, all the birch have yellow leaves now, super pretty. We quite often get the first snow in October so not long now.

And there were full Northern Lights when I was out for work this night!

Weather was cold in Paris Yesterday.

riding my bicycle to commute wearing my 1401P, I was soo cold in the morning
Indeed was cold yesterday evening. Below the parka i only had a tshirt and a hoodie. Thats why i was surprised how good a wind breaker is that kept me warm all the time.

Now i am wondering how warm a M-51 with the liner is? Someone has or had one that can tell their judge?

Our weather has gone a bit crazy and usually at the end of September we wear rather warm jackets here, but this week here we have very mild almost summer weather +22 C and the forecast says that it will still be warm for a while. I don't mind, the cold is still boring us.

I'm funny, maybe it's from living in Australia and NZ for years but I'm always really looking forward to winter here. It's long (we can have snow from October to May) but I think I overdid summer Down Under. I like the 2 or 3 months of summer here and then I'm ready again for the cold. I feel better in the cold than the heat as well, much happier.

Tim, you became a real Norwegian :)

In order not to write simply about cold weather and support the thread, here is my vintage BR B-15C, copy of the Monarch contract (except for the only name of the Monarch on the label changed for Buzz).

That looks brilliant Dmitry! I'd be wearing a B-10 myself tomorrow if I didn't have to work again and was in uniform.
