Fantastic hide, no doubt!
Out of curiosity, do they still use the very often criticized cuff knits ( very weak and easy to wear out) ?
Are the pocket fasteners still „ELC“ marked instead of „United Carr“ like in other prime makers A-2‘s.?
These little cosmetics should be taken care of considering the investment... IMHO.
All other, close to perfect one has to agree!

I would expect on par accurate hardware with other prime maker A-2's for the price and reputation.

I have these set aside for reuse on a 30's A-2. They have a nice deco design and a vibe that I think would fit well on a Werber 1729. Very tempting...

All good. Obviously a few passive aggressive jibes at a great ELC jacket that has been reintroduced.

You could wear out a couple of sets of ELC knits in the time it takes you to get your preferred 'high end' Werber sorted.

Never had an issue on any ELC knits in 20 years..
But you don’t wear most of your collection and those you do wear, not often due to climate Couchy.
And as you buy them as an investment, i’d wager Micawber wear his harder in a weekend than you do in 5 years.
That’s not a criticism but an observation. I’m jealous of your collection ;) But observations are subjective.
And i too have never had a problem but i know many who have. Some due to weak wool, some due to folk pulling their arms out by pulling the knit to pull the arm out. Others due to silly massive watches.
Just some thoughts,
Dave
