I went and looked at the WPG B-10 I have. I did not even notice it had hand pockets until reading above. they just left one side of the pocket open for a few inches. I would not let that stop you if you want a knock around B-10.

After looking as closely at the WPG B-10's pocket pics as possible, I see what you mean about the hand-warmers not really being noticeable. I went ahead and placed an order for one the other day, and sure enough, the jacket appears to be shipping from their UAE warehouse..

There's already a couple of fairly positive reviews for the jackets on WPG. After looking at another budget B-10 which ATF offers (https://www.atthefront.com/product-p/usujb10.htm), I'm convinced that WPG's will suit my purposes just fine for almost $100.00 less. It will be nice to perhaps patch this one however I like, including stitching-on a nice 'Memphis Belle' commemorative patch given to me by Linda Morgan without any worry.. I'll be sure to post some pics after the jacket arrives..

Wow, that was fast delivery service considering the global pandemic... From the UAE traveling from DUBAI, to BAHRAIN, BULGARIA, GERMANY, and ending up in CINCINNATI. The package cleared customs from there, on to WASHINGTON D.C, .and then delivered to my door all within 3 DAYS!

The jacket was shipped plastic-bagged in a sturdy cardboard box, large enough to not arrive all wrinkled-up like some garments shipped in mailing bags alone. I must say that I am VERY pleased. The jacket is well-made, and a great fit. The size large was accurately listed as having a 24" pit-pit, which fits my 44" chest nicely. The sleeves and body length work for me, and have adequate wrist / waistband knit showing. I'm always critical of properly placed epaulets on military-styled jackets, and these are positioned across the shoulders quite well.

The body lining is fleece-like, not bulky, and much better IMO than some others I've seen done with 'hairy' looking synthetic material. The sleeves are lined with a quilted poly which is light, and more than likely will be warm. Under-arms are vented. The zipper is a decent Talon repro with an original type leather pull. There are dual, snapped, inside pockets, which aren't original to the B-10's single, but handy nonetheless. Pocket flaps are scalloped, and the hand-warmer portions could be easily stitched closed if desired. The genuine mouton collar is surprisingly nice, but the color is more what I would expect on a 'dressy' jacket than a military B-10. It still looks good enough though.

No, the jacket is NOT as authentic or nicely done in comparison to a Bronson or Bob Dong B-10, but is great for a nicely-styled knock-around jacket with a B-10 / vintage look and flair, especially for the price of admission. I'm very happy with the purchase, and look forward to wearing it for many years to come. It will be fun to figure out exactly how I will tastefully patch it up a bit later.

I should be able to grab a chilly morning within the next couple of days to post a few wear pics. If not, I'll get some up of the jacket alone....

I thought I had seen a similar B-10 to this WPG before.... This jacket is damn-near an exact knock-off of Cockpit USA's B-10. Same type of body / sleeve linings, B-15A type interior with the skirt of material over the waistband and dual inside pockets, same type of pen pocket under the pocket flap, hand-warmers, hanger, white outlined decal, etc... I actually like WPG's Talon repro better than Cockpit's zipper. I'll try and get some pics of mine up ASAP to show the comparison, but it can be seen from WPG's pics and this eBay listing:

The WPG B-10’s collar looks quite dark on their website. How’s it actually look?

The mouton is on the darker side. I've been waiting for a nice, bright day to grab some pics, but it's been overcast here since the WPG B-10 arrived. I just snapped this one with the WPG on top of my high-end repro of 'The Paul Reed Company" contract made by The Few to get a rough idea until I can get a set of better pics posted:

Thing is, for us UK guys, we'll be charged postage, import duties and taxes from US. No doubt.
Bronson's from China incl. free postage and there are no import or taxes (maybe only a virus or two lol)
Can you confirm that there are no import or taxes with a Bronson jacket shipped to the UK? Thanks

Decal looks 'low'. What is the gap between the sleeve seam and the top of the roundel?

I'm not going to bother with measuring the gap on a $95.00 USD jacket with hand-warmers, but like I posted above, it appears that the WPG B-10 was DEEPLY influenced by Cockpit USA's B-10, and WPG's decal is placed exactly like this one:

EDIT: My curiosity got the better of me, and WPG's roundel top is 2.5" from the seam, just as I'd wager Cockpit USA's is placed.. Not at all authentic, but again, it's OK IMO for a knock-around jacket at it's price-point... Now Cockpit USA's version at close to $400.00 USD is another story altogether, but they are what they are..

Hi,

How is the fit compared to the Reed? I have that one as well, and I was wondering if they differ much regarding the fit...especially the body length.

...a try to revive this thread...

@Technonut2112 ,

I don't want to hassle you with taking measurements, but could you give me your quick opinion on the differences / similarities between your WPG and your FEW B-10?

Not asking regarding the quality here, just if the lining of the WPG is actually thinner than the hefty REED alpaca lining...

Would you rate the fit authentic or is the WPG more modern, especially in the torso length?

Thanks for your help and best regards,

Ties
