I posted them up a while back...

I'm unsure about getting the blue now, or waiting on the gold one! They're currently having their sewers making Covic19 masks, which I admire...

Were you thinking about the shiny gold (winter weight) one, or the more subdued one? I don’t think you could go wrong in any case. Enjoy your decision!

Honestly, I want both - or rather, all three. Since the gold is winter, In can wait on it and do a blue/gold summer weight now. Of course all are on hold, but I have to get at least one - assuming the world isn't at the end...

The red 'Northrop' MA-1 from Buzz Rickson that I had five years ago was a bit much too.
I don't usually wear red, but when I do, I melt into the landscape. I am one with my World.

I like mine, but the knit collars and cuffs are like brillo pads; at least on mine.

I'm starting to dig these NASA jackets, tho.
I hear your brillo pads and raise you a broken zipper. You can see it in the picture. I still have all the parts and will mend it. I don't mind the colour as much. But the thing that really annoys me is the applied lettering in the back. It does come off in higher temperatures and stains. Really odd, not a favourite of mine, the lettering. Patches are cool, the name tag says: Wild Jerry. Fitting, likely, as I am a German and the most boring guy around... happy Easter, all!

Does it fit true to size? Talked with them and it looks like they should be based on the size chart, etc.
Butte, I'll try to put it in perspective. I wear a BR L-2, Tanker, BR N-2 Deck Jacket in 42, ELC shearlings and M-422a in 44, Good Wear A-2s 46. I am a Large (42-44) in CWU-36/P, BR Deck zip 38. I ordered a 42 and a 44 from Lunareplicas although Max said it'll be a 44 for sure. He knows BR L-2s, too, so he was able to translate this Info. I would have gotten away with a 46, but due to its short design would have felt to roomy and awkward. So, with the 44, the chest is roomy enough for a T-Shirt plus dress shirt. Arms are "maybe" an iota short when stretched while driving. It's period correctly sitting on the belt line, so no Problem there. I love the wear, die me it has the right sturdiness and weight, good quality cuffs (although I asked Max to maybe offer knit replacement sets in the future for long term maintenance). I wished the lining were a little more L-2B-sateen-like but honestly, a really well made US-sewn (watch his FB livestream from last week on the research and fabric procurement I mentioned above). So for me, USA made for the most Part, done with passion. I Call it a great wearer. Butte, hope it helps. Let me know if you need more info. I know your pain. Markus

@Wholenineyards - cheers friend! Exactly the info I needed. Been chatting with Max and he's a NASA nerd all the way...which is good.
I was excited about Diamond Dave's jackets, but then things seemed to fold, so this popped up and I love that they're made "here" and done as you say, with passion...

I'd say get one and enjoy it. I really wear it often. Glas I could help, did wonders for my isolation feeling. Let us know! Oh, btw, I have already ordered a gold one, the subdued version. The blue one will get a T-38 Stalin MSC patch on the right shoulder. The gold one will have the Apollo 13 commemorative patch on it. I was born 11 April 1970 1635ish ZULU.

I wanted the gold right off, but it got delayed, so I thunked I'd get blue and do gold later...I too am in need of a quarantine purchase. I'm going ape-shi* here. Was going to build a new audio setup, but when I told wife how much I wanted, she gave me the steely eye of death™
So...jacket it is :)

But, Butte, I derive from your report, .., you win, right?! Audio maybe beats jacket, jacket definitely beats nothing. You're doing good!
