Drug!

Your jacket looks awesome - is that one Dromedar for the machine-defect you had on your last flight?

Inspiration is from the Noseart book?

Thanks, Thomas. Yes, that’s it. We fought for almost 20 minutes, but started the engine again. I created a separate thread about this jacket and wrote there, there is a link above.

No, this is from another book, from the one that I received from you my friend.

Wearing a rare bird today.
Wearing a SEFTON A2. The SEFTON is a jacket that doesn’t pop up regularly, so I thought I’d post this one. Obtained it from Micawber a friend and fellow member in the UK. Thanks Steve!

Looking good my friend! There can't be many virtually mint Sefton A-2's left out there.

This strikes me as a great time for someone with more knowledge than me to give the rest of us a teachable moment: what’s a Sefton A-2 and what makes them so special? :)

With Micawber’s approval I will paraphrase what I learned about SEFTON A2 Jackets from him.
Steve Silburn the originator of the SEFTON A2 was an early jacket maker in the UK, and turned out great generic A-2 jackets at a time when choices were very limited. They had the feel and drape of many originals. Steve was a one man operation and when ELC started to command a bigger market share of the industry, he couldn’t be competitive any longer and he stopped production of the SEFTON A2. There are a very limited number of these quality jackets and if you can ever get your hands on one I would highly recommend doing so. According to Micawber , Steve Silburn still makes quality reproduction leather flight helmets , and other pieces of flight gear that are highly prized and used in film and documentary shows.
I hope I was able to pass on the information accurately that I learned from Micawber.
Cheers
