G-1 Jacket fit

Hello everyone, I just recently joined the forum and have a question about the fit of a G-1 Jacket that I’ve recently purchased from Cockpit USA, It’s certainly a wonderful piece that I love wearing and got a lot of compliments on it for the most part. However a few have said that it looks a bit too a short on me and was just wondering what you guys think, for my next purchase should I get a long size? And if there’s anything else you’d like to add besides the length please let me know your thoughts, Thanks!

The sleeves are excellent, the body appears to be a bit short by todays standard, but...... maybe check on the internet how they fit back then. It would seem like a tight fit too, I wouldn't feel comfortable that way. It depends if you like a tight fit. I think on average you'll see looser fits, which helps when in a cockpit and need to reach to all those buttons, switches and dials.
I hardly ever zip up my jackets, and that does change how it looks on a person.

Thanks for your reply! Yes a lot of people also told me it looks better unzipped as well

Vetore, this is common with Cockpit's jackets. They all tend to run short in the body and longer in the sleeves.
I've owned a few of their G-1s and currently still have one of their A-2s. All great jackets, very well made and pretty comfy.
Not patterned after any specific original patterns, but more 'house' patterns, based on various flight jacket styles.
Years ago, I actually had some correspondence with Stanley Slovak and jackie Cayman about this.
Anyway, seems they do now offer long/ tall sizes with some of their jackets.
