Thanks, I didn't think so, these were a collab between Viberg and Iron Heart.
I was just trying to remember if I've treated them, they are a lot darker than when new so I think I have, possibly with Obernauf oil.

I don't think so, I got these around 6 years ago. Not sure if Viberg still do a Smokejumper or not.

Here's a little tip...if you're using your boots in tough terrain or bad conditions (so not poncing around your local Starbucks ;) ) get yourself a pair of gaiters. I'd always wondered what the point of them was but now I totally get it. We go up often to the cottage/cabin which is right up in the mountains, you park the car and then have to walk about an hour. It's typical Norwegian mountain/forest terrain with bog land as well. I've got some "Gamaschen" - original German ones from WWII and they're bloody brilliant. There's lots of different types but the German WWII style ones are excellent and I thoroughly recommend them. I use them with a pair of Norwegian issue army boots and they're just the thing.

I haven't with mine Burt and I've used them over two years with no problems.

They really are an awesome piece of kit. Don't know if they still have them but ATF had gotten hold of a bunch of original German ones from the war and they were very reasonably priced. I think they're indispensable now!

Don't know how much time you spend slogging around in the wilderness but the gaiter style top would actually be very useful. We go up to a cottage/cabin in the mountains here where you have to hike for about an hour through forest, bogland, etc and I often use a pair of Norwegian army boots paired with some WWII German Gemaschen (gaiters) and it's one of the most effective set ups I've used. I never understood gaiters until I tried them. If you're hiking about rugged, damp, swampy, terrain they are simply brilliant. Not so terribly useful though if you're only pottering about in town ;-)
