Thanks Cabbie, it's actually not a Tootal but it's the closest I've found in a modern scarf to an actual wartime one. I love the thing. I have a great interest in Vic France of the 4th FG and when I wear it with an A-2 it's my little nod to Vic and his memory.

Oh my ... now you’ve done it ... you’ve poked the bee hive.
just kidding.
A few guys have them and like them a lot. It’s not an ELC or GW but a lesser level repro that’s nicely made of goatskin but not historically accurate . Here’s a photo of mine .
Full disclosure here .. I’m selling it not because I don’t like it , but I just have too

If it’s ok to ask .. where did you purchase that scarf ... it is cool looking.

I actually got it on Amazon UK. The problem with nearly every single modern silk scarf is that they are completely different in terms of how they are made and heft of fabric compared to WWII examples. This scarf is, along with ones that John Comfort (a UK tie maker who made scarves to the same methods and materials they did during the war) used to make are the only modern scarves even remotely like the scarves during the war. If you want a silk scarf with the same heft of material and that will tie and sit like a scarf from the 1940s get one of these. They are exactly like some originals I have handled.

Sadly though they appear to be unavailable...

Thanks for the info .., that is a nice looking scarf . Maybe it will re appear ..

If they do, get one Burt, they really are the only modern scarves I have seen which look and feel like scarves used in the RAF during the war.

I’ve got to go to google translator to even try to figure out what you’re telling me.
I thought you were from NY... as a Philly guy I had more of a chance figuring out the New York side of this than the Brit version:D;)
