FIVESTAR LEATHER A1 JACKET

Yeah,I just want to sniff out where I am in their standard sizing and then adjust my measurements from there going forward.

That’s the best way to go ...

In my first attempt to order jackets I just measured my jackets and tried to just forward those dimensions to Shawn which didn’t work in the end.

Use his sizecharts as reference and then alter them accordingly should work.

For my wife’s A2 I did it like Otter which also worked fine

Yeah, I feel there's a special look and cut to flightjackets wit a full chest and body with a little bit of shorter length that I like that I feel Shawns measurements resembles, maybe just a touch long. But this will be a fun experiment nonetheless.
I basically went with my ideal shouldersize on this one and will take it from there...

I ordered all five of the jackets I purchased with the usual measurements I would give to any bespoke jacket maker, and each fit as well as expected. Shawn provided pics with a measuring tape across confirming my requested measurements before shipping. Personally, I would rather have them custom-made than using a sizing chart... Especially for the price.

New 5 star capeskin. Could probably move up a size, but this is so incredibly soft it will stretch and mould perfectly. Great product, Shawn!

Looks awesome and sizewise a 100% „hit“ in my opinion.

I‘m not that in love with the „boxy“ shoulders but i‘m Sure they will kinda mold down a bit

Cool one!

Think I also need one ...

How did you go with the sizing?

What‘s your standard size and which one did you order?

Hi Thomas.

I'm going to wear it in a rainstorm today and I'm sure that will transform the boxier shoulders. Sizewise I went with a slightly smaller shouldersize as the chestsize looked generous on paper. Ideally I would move up a size in shoulder, chest and sleevelength, but keep the overall length of the body and hipsize. Should be an easy adjstment for my next project.

As I said above nicely done. Just keep wearing the piss out of it, don’t baby it and it will continue to develop into a great looking jacket :)

That rainstorm transformed an already great jacket into a lollapalooza great jacket. Congratulations and many kudos to Shawn. Certainly looks like you'll get a ton of good wear out of this beauty.
