Just grabbed some rare transitional Australian Multicam Camouflage Uniform (AMCU) for a song. Combat Top, Combat Trouser and Barracks Trouser. All three for under a hundred bucks. Should be able make 400% profit. And a rare old stock Australian Disruptive Pattern Camouflage Uniform (DPCU) Para Smock. Have four now...

I’d have thought you’d have seen enough DPCU & DPDU to last you a lifetime Couchey !

It was years til i could face looking at DPM after being made to wear it. Though now i get all nostalgic about it ......

I have two of my Desert uniforms from 2008 BNWT. One day I anticipate they will reach the value the Government paid for them. Same for the last pattern of DPCU uniforms. The transitional AMCUs used the gusset fabric from the AMU uniforms, which is completely different. Lighter body on the top. 2014 run for the first deployed units. The local disposals has a LOT of kit that would have Military Police shaking their heads. As this stuff is obsolete I should be able to list it. Current stuff is shaky. We had four ANA guys in current US cams (which you can replace with commercial stuff apparently) try to get through a gate in order to destroy aircraft. So we get a little antsy seeing our new stuff getting flipped by ex-girlfriends of current diggers or ex-diggers.

Para smocks copy the Denison pattern and are a decent homage to the originals. Only item in our field uniform that you can put a wing on! Hence the value.

Wowser! I wished I had gotten notices so that I could have responded in timely manner. Back to wearing all his stuff in his P-51 sim. No not everything. Just a flight jacket and headset/ Flight leather helmet type of WW2. ( He had been building for another replica for modern air battles but it was only the drafting stage at that point and planning to get a gimble)
He had altered it to use stereo speakers in the flight helmet. So that he could hear pre taped chatter loop on a separate program. Then on the different plasma screens that are HDTV are flat panel 60" . The one in front was a curved HDTV, they were set touching each other to give the illusion of surrounded. His sound for those were cranked up to sound like the wind and battle sounds in game etc. He wore his jeans and things like but not a total complete outfit. Sorry, I did not mean it to sound like he had a side arm, parachute or may west on. That would be going too far. But this guy spent a fortune on it. He had gotten most of the parts from the Air Force boneyard. Every now and then they will sell some things off. Others he had gotten from restoration groups. His cockpit wasn't 100 percent built to specs, but enough to set the illusion. His first project he built was a Formula 1 racer. That one was a blast...I tried it but always crashed. Then he moved to WW2 battles, air war. Whenever he wanted to play a different set up he had it on a gurney and would roll the cockpit away from the screens then roll the mock racecar into place. He was a retired military air jockey (Helicopters in Vietnam), went back to college for computer programming then retired from that job but he learned how to put this stuff together for gaming etc.
I have not seen him in a long time because I moved away. But I have the same set up with my large screens to play my games also but no cockpit. Mine are all 60" LG HDTV no curved one. I use a Cyberpower gaming system. My daughter has it also for her gaming but she just killed my other Cyberpower PC that she used. She is nagging me to get her another one. I told her no. She did not take care of this one. She keeps nagging.

To member Pilot, how much did it cost for your Hartmann jacket if I may ask? Pilot could you send me a message on how much to purchase the waist buckles like on the Hartmann. I have 3 jackets that I would (thinking about) like to add them to if I can afford it. These are from the 1930's and are exactly the same type jackets but have no waist buckle.

Also, where do you guys find all the photos of all the pilots from the different JG's. I look online but hardly find many pics of differing pilots just repeated ones of the same pilots over and over......

So cool AussieR! When I was a kid and we lived at Camp Lejune N.C. My father was a Marine, served in WW2, Korea and Vietnam. Anyway, all the kids loved playing war but we took it much further. We had a lot of military gear. We would save our fireworks to use in our mock battlefield. We had trenches and forts etc. We used to use toilet paper card board rolls packing one end then peel apart our firecrackers and dump the gun powder in it packing it. Sometimes mixing sugar and potassium nitrate with it for smoke effects or louder bombs. It was a blast to have the firecrackers, bottle rockets, M-80's and smoke bombs blasting then the big ones blowing up with a lot of smoke. Made it look so cool....well in the eyes of a kid it was a blast. One kid would run a long power chord to play his portable record player that was of WW2 sounds like guns, machine guns and planes etc. Jesh, those were so fun....as a kid. But it wasn't so fun when we were adults and it was for real. It is so much fun in reenactments. I used to be an extra for a number of movies. The last time I tried was for that recent Alamo movie but was turned down because I wasn't Mexican. I had the buckskins, a Spanish Colonial powder horn and an actual Brown Bess 2nd edition that was actually used by a Mexican soldier (name engraved on it) who fought at the real Alamo. I donated that musket about a few years ago to the NRA Museum in Virginia. I showed up to the casting call wearing everything and with my musket and they turned me down like I aforementioned...wasn't a Mexican. Go figure. Have you worked as a reenactor used for any movies? I know there was a casting call for two new movies about D-Day and another WW2 battle. Have you heard about any of that call for reenactors? My daughter met Chuck Norris recently now she is nagging me to get her into being an extra. There is a casting call for extras in a movie to be made here in Fort Worth to start filming soon about a true story of these 12 orphans who start a football team and win. I would love to hear about anyone doing any extras work doing reenacting.

Love the Cowboy Hat on the rack. Yippie yi yo ki yay!

That's my big Western Action hat. Used to throw lead around the range from a 3rd Generation Colt Single Action revolver, Uberti 1873 Winchester. Now and again the Coach Gun got a bit of work too. Will never let that go. Still have a Uberti 1873 in .44 Special. You can fit 13 up the magazine. All of them go in under 4 seconds but our media haven't figured out what ancient 'assault rifles' can do. ;)
