One thing that really strikes me from being on VLJ is just how popular WWII US jackets seem to be with German guys. That's not meant as a negative but I just find it fascinating how the WWII clothing of an opposing country seems to have become so popular. After Yanks and Brits, the Germans would easily probably outnumber the members on here who are into US flight jackets.

I think the reality is that for younger Germans the war is viewed as a long time ago and the past is, as they say, another country. Hollywood has far more influence than history.
My thought anyway.......

Agree with all am...and we have the Japanese ...and PRC Chinese...( the last not the best friends of the Western allies from 1949-1989...).
Please also dont forget our members from CIS...same as for the Chinese...
