Checked out the website, that's really impressive!! Some exclusive boots there for sure!! I won't ask the price, but bet they are comparable to a new, quality A-2 :)

Not to piss on the parade here gents, but...plantar fasciitis? Anybody else get it? What did you do for it?

I caught it from my Allen-Edmonds and Blundstones and my exercise routine means it stays around for months at a time.

I will try anything short of steroid injections, because that s**t messes me up bad.

I had it about 10 years ago, both feet, tried physical therapy (or torture as she was kneading my feet), went to the doctor, tried those rediculous socks you're supposed to sleep with, they lasted a whole 10 minutes before I tore them off... The only thing that helped was when I started hiking. Long walks on gravel/asphalt in bad shoes gave it to me, but hiking in uneven terrain was the solution, I guess that stretched my muscles/tendons in different directions instead of the monotonous movement on flat surfaces. I also lost about 20 kg which probably didn't hurt either. You have my sympathies - it's a real pain!!

I've noticed walking in the woods makes it less noticeable than on hard surfaces...by the creek in my favorite park there is sand, rocks, fallen limbs, etc. ...just waiting for someone to mess around in.

I have Kuru shoes (the name is a laughing sickness caused by eating human brains.) Specially engineered for PF and heel issues. They're great while walking. But rest awhile, say in bed, and it's nasty getting back up.

Some time ago Tjoenn posted a link how to improve your Corcoran boots. http://thelandlessgentry.blogspot.com/2018/02/diy-antiquing-corcoran-brown-jump-boots.html

I've cleaned my 1988 pair of Corcorans and I kinda like the way they look now… ! I'll have to tread them with neatsfoot oil and see how they come out. I'm a bit reluctant to ad the leatherpaint. To be continued.
I remember the feeling of thinking "they look so good now, I'm not sure about the next step". However, I'm glad I finished it. The myriad of brown shades you end up with is really eye-candy. Good luck and looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Millions they say? Probably haven't been two million US military aviators since the Wright Brothers?
but its also a favorite of civilians! lol! I'd be curious if there were any lawsuits... these things have no traction.. you can dance in them but try walking on carpet! I about fell on my ass a few times wearing these things! can't imagine a sidewalk on an early winter day!

$5 to $5.50... so I have to ask ... what are they selling for now?
I bought them November 2018 for US $149.00. depending on quality wanted and budget you can still buy similar styles today for about the same and less... JC Penny has a set for $40.00 lol! but they don't have just the heel rubber taps. modern shoes are full bottom sole but I'm sure if you look around I bet similar heel taps only types are still available.
