Watches to wear with your flight jackets...

To me a watch is the only jewelery MAN may wear.
If an IPhone ( or others) does the job .. fine.... A real /chrono watch is more ... ... a lot of historical events happened thanks to a precise accurate watch... not thanks to an IPhone...IMHO....A real good watch gains value ... hahaha for a phone...For the records, I have an issued IPhone since its on the market.... and not sure I will like one after my very soon retirement...( any so called “ smart „ phone.) Watches nice one any time if no battery or no other electronics in there.
So... here...why discussing...buying ( or not) ELC, GW, Aero , BK, BR, RMZ and not only staying with all other kind of jackets available...? IMHO..

all I do is take the phone out of my pocket/back pocket and the movement of me doing that turns on the home screen with the time. Not much more effort than a glance at a watch AND I don't have to wear anything on my wrist which I prefer. That said not meaning for this to become a watch vs. phone thread!

Thx ... great.. doing the same...
Possible or not time check in an airplane... does not work for me during a 12-14H flight...No military intervention takes place based on TEAM using Crapola ... they team time it with the real ( all automatic driven tools..)
Questions; What happens if :watch IPhone does not work if the battery is down and the charging is not available right „ now“ ... in many countries this happens every glims of time.
Not wanting to look at my IPhone when swimming in the pool or sea with my grandkids ...

The only drawback I find to my Laco: it's non-hackable. You can't stop the second hand unless you let the watch wind ALL the way down till it conks out completely.

Never had one that way in 40 years of watch wearing. Apparently all Lacos with the Type 21 movement are this way, and all the rest cost 4-5x as much.

I don't work in live tv or radio so I don't need accuracy to the second. When the Laco gains more than a minute, I set it back a minute, and I'm happy.

Helvetia..great brand and quality...
Have two of them ( DH watches) on the market right now...
Very nice pieces of history...supporting the fact that even Switzerland supported actively the German war efforts during WWII.
