@Geeboo the lists i have cover all the Army ,Navy and treasury contracts issued . so they have to be in there somewhere as long as they are post 41 and pre 45 and as long as they are over 50k in value :)

Then only point 1 provides an logical answer.
Look at the number of contracts in the Taiwanese's list - i bet it is not all inclusive so the actual no. of contracts may be 2-3 times more [ cos I often see these USN contract nos are continuous - NXsx 9478, NXsx 9479] ? - that is about 100 contracts
I seriously doubt you can retrieve these info, on condition of what you have gone so far vs your yield.
As said, U have done a good job & it is ABSOLUTELY your call whether to continue or not. Even so, It does not provides the most desirable info. as in the B10, B11 jkts - the makers' name and date. Eg NXs 16345- which manufacturer made this contract ?

@Geeboo that list you posted shows just the dates that an item was made doesnt it ? Im needing visual reference of an item showing what it is ,so i can then update my own version of these contract lists . I have just found the same list thanks to another member on the USMF .Which i hadnt realised that i had the info for . :)

This USN contracting system looks very complicated , but , i think i can now work it out .

Basically what im trying to do is, to find out who made what . As alot of the USN items do not have a maker marked on the clothing . for example ,deck jackets . All im trying to do is help in identifying who made what item .
To find, list and make known who each individual item from the USN contracs would be a very daunting task indeed and take a serious amount of time ,if at all possible .
All i can do is try and with a bit of luck some of these Jacket details will come to life .
So , what im needing is a list of some kind , for example in this order

Type of jacket contract number pic of number

Maybe then i can unravel some of this information .

Hi Carl
Sounds like an interesting but nevertheless very time consuming task. You posted a screenshot earlier, did I get it right that you have a hardcopy list which you go through manually? Line by line?

Have you ever thought of having these lists scanned / digitized in any form? (Maybe you wrote something about that and I totally missed it, so sorry if I am asking a dumb question).

And I would also be interested to know what you are aiming for? Some kind of public database where collectors can get their items verified?

In any case, this sounds very interesting! Good luck with it!

Hi ! Im slowly putting together a hard copy but it takes time as you can imagine . Over a thousand pages !
Presently , im just focusing on AAF contracts which i hope to put down in a book .
I would love to put this as a digitized searchable database but im not not that technically minded , i just manage to post photos ! :D.
Thanks for the encouragement .
