Hi everyone, I hope this finds you well. I came across this forum while doing some research on my cold weather flight jacket which was issued to me in the US Navy. I was an aircrewman aboard E2-B and E2-C Hawkeyes in VAW-117, from 1975 to 1986. The jacket is a MIL-J-83388A, manufactured by Greenbrier Industries, and dated 05 Sept. 1973. Although I was issued an XL size, (46-48), I have of course "filled out" a bit, and would love to find a larger XXL size jacket. Any help/links/additional info you folks could provide would be great. Thanks very much. Jim

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
If you post a picture of one it might help us determine what the jacket looks like and make your search a little easier.

Welcome. I had one like that, mine was a large. The older CWU's had the pleated 'bi-swing' back, which was removed in the early 80's. The older versions are a bit harder to come by, especially in a big size, although there are plenty of the later plain back version around. I actually find mine more comfortable than the older versions. Did yours have the little signal flag in the inside pocket?
