What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

I never expected that, but I really, really like that color:

I always wanted to put some patches on one of my jackets, which were all seal brown so far. Never did it: It always felt like a too strong contrast between patches and leather.

Not so with the caramel brown color of this one...

Nice stichting ties and another sweet jacket to play in. Have you seriously got kaiser as your real surname ...Great name if you have, great choice for a name tag if it’s for aesthetics ..nice one Art

Yep,

KAISER is my family's name.
Of course it's not related to the actual "emperor" or "Caesar".... it was in late medieval times the name for someone working / living close to the emperor....that could have ranged from court officials to the lowest shepherd working on the emperors land; sometimes it was used for "someone with a posh attitude", maybe even a little bit of a loudmouth... someone who behaved like the KAISER

If I take a look at my family tree, I can see a lot of minor civil servants.

Only ancestor with a bit of a story comes from mother's side: In the first half of the 1600s one of her male ancestors, a stubborn protestant, was sentenced to death for killing a catholic priest. As there was the 30 Years' War raging in Germany at that time, and things like that must have happened quite often, we can assume he must have been caught at the wrong time and at the wrong place....

Well I'm a 42 chest and went for an L, it's certainly not tight on me, feels just about right over a long sleeve tee. Neck isn't too tight and the wool feels quite soft after a couple of wears. I'm just over 6' so a bit extra in the arm wouldn't have gone amiss, just hope it doesn't shrink when I wash it.
Here is a pic without a jacket on

Thanks, I just wasn't sure I'd really like a roll neck but did like the look of this one a lot so thought I'd give one a try, glad I did.
Funny enough, I ordered an off white one today to go with it, should be here soon.
