Looks like the guy cancelled every listing early.
How do you deal with a seller like that ?
You think you have a good chance of winning and he does a behind the scenes flip flop.
I didn’t check any further but did he sell or relist anything or just sell it out the back door ?

Sorry, no, he puts a “buy now price and / or best offer” price , then he accept offers.......just check his feedback he received.
He sold a few of my items.

Of course I'm the one having issues with them. Seemingly nice lady, who told me that her husband has purchased 150 GW's BRAND NEW from JC since he's been collecting. Most go straight to the closet, and they simply 'clean-out' a closet or two every so often.

Anyway, I recently hit a decent payday on a scratch ticket, noticed their wide selection of GW's on the bay, and won an offer on a size 44 GW Cable Raincoat 42-10008-P. I was looking at many jackets right before, and quickly realized I had made a mistake regarding the listed pit-pit being too small. I Immediately contacted the seller requesting a cancellation. Right after that, I sent another message saying the pit-pit looked a bit small for a 44, and if they would remeasure, and come-up with at least 23-23.5", to go ahead and ship it. The order was cancelled and refunded as I hit the 'send' button, but received a message saying the pit-pit was indeed 23" shortly afterwards. My refund wasn't due to be available for 4 days, and the seller didn't seem keen on holding the jacket for me. I went ahead and purchased it again.. The updated pit-pit showing on the listing was 23.5"

It arrived at my home after I had to ask for a tracking # for 2-3 days before it was provided. This was listed as a a HH Cable, and the listing pics were not clear enough to really tell otherwise. I was disappointed to find that other than a rarer HH Cable in that predominately goatskin contract, I did indeed receive goatskin.. I contacted the seller with an option to either issue a return, or a $100.00 discount. The seller at first insisted it was a 'new' thinner Shinki HH, but I knew better, and before I could get a reply off, the seller messaged me saying that her husband did confirm it was goatskin, apologized, and issued a $100.00 partial refund.. That was a happy ending.. The Cable is quite nice, and fits as it should!

Right after that, an OUTSTANDING GW Monarch was listed by them. I thought 'surely to God they carefully measured this one', and didn't ask to confirm.. Looking back, I was stupid for not asking. The Monarch arrived... Indeed OUTSTANDING! Blackened Conmar and all the trimmings.. Imagine my disappointment when the listed 23.5" chest turned out to actually be 24.5".. The 19" shoulders 19.5", the 25.5" sleeves closer to 26.5".. This incorrect combination throws the intended slimmer fit this contract is known for off from the listed measurements I was expecting significantly.. Actually a deal-breaker! The seller does NOT accept returns, and has been fighting me kicking and screaming with a 'not-as-described' claim I opened, complete with my pics showing the jacket with a measuring tape proving the correct measurements. They only offered a return if I would ship the jacket back, allow them to inspect it for 'odors and pet dander', and if approved, they would issue a refund voluntarily. This would be out of my eBay buyer protection since no official return was initiated, and I refused. I am now waiting for the middle of next week to ask eBay customer service to step-in. With my clear pics showing the actual measurements, I'm confident I'll get the return, but it's been a royal pain-in-the-ass up to now...

If this were a true number, maybe JC should only be allowing folks two jackets before making them go to the back of the queue. Not like he's short of customers is it ? And surely this guy can't afford several at a time ? His spend plans is enviable.

As to Techno's woes, sounds like you are as much of the problem here as Ferromil, if not more.
He has 52,000 items in at once, too many to provide good customer service methinks but then that should be clear to any nut looking to buy.

Ferro clearly states no returns so be extra careful what you bid on and only bid if you have no doubts. However i agree if something is clearly different to the description, he needs to refund.

But if a measurement is an inch different to yours, hmmm, that's difficult. If you are THAT fussy, only buy when you can try on.

Techno clearly admits being in the wrong twice - fair play sir - so learn the lesson folks: don't throw caution to the wind in your hurry not to lose the item.

I've bought from Ferro on numerous occasions but only when certain i know what i am buying. He's been great on customer service. Sometimes it's not clear what is original and what is repro....

As always, caveat emptor !

That throws the size from a 44 to a 46.. The difference between 3 inches of chest room at 23.5", and 5 inches at 24.5". Quite a difference when paying $800.00 for a jacket which is supposed to fit a certain way based on the particular contract. I admitted that I should have asked before-hand, but IMO, when selling jackets like these on a semi-regular basis, one shouldn't have to worry about it.. They should be closer than they were IMO.. And folks who are their intended audience shouldn't have to wonder whether the listed measurements are correct, or if the leather type is listed correctly.. Big difference between goatskin and horsehide.. Not something pleasant to discover after the jacket is received..

EDIT: Also, if the seller's husband indeed has purchased 150 GW jackets as I was told, they should damn well know the importance of accurate measurements in these types of jackets IMO. As I posted, that 'little' mistake as you paint it, represents an entire bump-up in chest size. ALL of the measurements being a "bit" off, TOTALLY throws the expected fit off, and that's a fact.. Strange that I haven't had this happen before with other sellers I purchased GW's from in the past. They fit exactly as the listed measurements represented..

I'm not being critical of ya Tech. Simply pointing out that when you are talking about spending a lot of money on any auction site, best get your level of risk minimised. You said yourself you were unwise.
You are right, sellers SHOULD be spot on with details. But they often aren't. Would i risk $800 and hope the ebay system works if the seller is wrong, no i wouldn't. I'm different to you. I don't need the hassle. And as i don't do scratch cards, i have to save in order to spend. Easy come, easy go..... and hard to save, slow to spend too !

I was just trying to give some balance..... and I'll continue to do so where i feel i can. ;)

Well, it doesn't matter now, it appears that the seller had a change of heart, and just approved my return.. Regardless, the only 'unwise' thing I did, was not question listed measurements when the seller was inaccurate on a previous listing I purchased.. I just would have liked to believe that after the other incident only occurring the day before, they would have been VERY careful when measuring one the next day.. There is also a sense of urgency, when their multiple GW jacket listings are selling within hours at times, and one just has to trust what they read in the listing to make a decision...

EDIT: BTW: I generally do not purchase scratch tickets.. I have been known to ridicule my friends for doing so. I was standing in line at the grocery store, and read of someone in my State who hit for a large sum.. I just said "what the hell", purchased one... And was extremely lucky...
