A-2 I used to own.

I got this Dubow 27798 A-2 with a 462nd PFAB (parachute field artillery battalion) patch and leather jump wings on it. The owner dropped on Corregidor in February of 45'. He was the assistant platoon leader in the first stick, and after the platoon leader was wounded on day one, he took command. This jacket was part of a large grouping I acquired about five years ago. Should have kept the A-2.

The silver wings are worn off of the leather patch above the name stip, but the grouping came with other unused wings, so here's what it would have looked like when new.

Here are his sterling jump wings with "The Rock" engraved on the back.

Pilot. Now I know you don’t really know what “creasing” is. o_O

Take note of the storm flap. That is creasing and wrinkles. Not grain. Zoom in on the sleeves. See those horizontal lines going across width of sleeves? Those are creases. I can promise those were not present off the assembly line.

My BK dubow looks identical in creasing to that if I were to get a similar arranged pic.
Thx, maybe “creasing” is not the right word...I meant unwanted permanent pleads, wrinkles, folds...they are certainly not present on the sleeves of am jacket.

Surely not draping..irreversible pleads, folds wrinkles...
This was my point from the start...I called it creasing...but maybe not the best ideal terminology.

Wow! Started as a thread to show a jacket with a rare patch and it has morphed into what "creasing" is.

Great thread Stony, despite the crease freaks. Vics, right, that patch is completely badass and that Dubow is pretty sweet!
462nd patches have sold for as high as $1200 on the bay. The group had an extra patch that had never been sewn on anything.
