CWU-45P and 36P in non-US service

I have just received delivery of a CWU-45P. The jacket was probably worn by a German senior staff member at the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program (ENJJPT). The jacket has the rank of Fregattenkapitän attached to the shoulder, and has the ENJJPT patch on the arm.

There can’t have been many German naval aviators with such a senior rank at Sheppard AFB from 1995 to 2008 when the last German Navy pilot retired. This being Fregattenkapitän Peter Schroth, he was the last fighter pilot in the German Navy, making his final flight on 24th April 2008, three years after the last German navy fighter wing (MFG 2) was shut down in 2006. FKpt Peter Schroth was with the ENJJPT for five years from 2003. I’m not saying that this is his jacket but it is a possibility! As usual more research required!

The second ‘foreign’ jacket in my collection is a CWU-36P worn by Flight Lieutenant Tim Brown who was seconded to Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 120 (VAW-120), he is listed as an Operations Assistant, Squadron VAW-120, U.S. Navy.

Photos to be added tomorrow.

I have a mint, unworn CWU-36/P with Australian spec label that a forum member kindly sent me years ago. It's never been patched but was clearly destined for non-US wear when produced.

Could you post a pic of that? Never seen that, curious what it looks like and what it says.

Yes they are pilots from the BundesLuftwaffe. See their wings on their name patch.
US issued military watch: since trained in the US, like all other US gear flying Air Forces , they can buy all they need in their US training bases

Yes, familiar wings, Brice. I had a issued Luftwaffe pilot jacket (gray "basalt" leather, early 80's) with the same wings on patch.

About the wings ... This is really offtopic for this thread, but I can't resist :).
Once in Larnaca, one guy sticked to me like a leech in a hotel lobby and very asked me to sell an embroidered patch with my wings :) I refused of course. He said that he collects the pilots wings from different countries and showed me photo on his smartphone - my God, there were many many wings. And the military and most certainly civil. He said that he collected them for many years.
I asked him:
- And many pilots themselves sold you wings to your collection?
- None! Ha ha ha - he answered.
Almost all wings he bought at auctions.
-But anyway every time - he said - I ask someone from the crews who lodge in a hotel...May be will suddenly lucky.
Funny guy :)

I apologize once again.

Here's a photo of some South Korean pilots, one in a 36P jacket.

Here's a USAF general with a South Korean general, the latter wearing a nomex/aramid flight jacket, although a different design than the 45P and 36P jackets.
