Apologies for the delay...
Promised some facts and comparison photos...
here you go...
Please just look at it very objectively.
No bad feelings, no party taking nor siding...just for the sake of who produces the more accurate and best A-2 RW 27752 repro...
Took a “ neutral jacket from another BK client...not my Frankensteiner one...for the sake of beeing objective...Viewer discretion...please watch and judge...
And thanks for borrowing me your BK jacket Michael.

Ummm. Which one is which? Guessing BK has the lighter brown/green tinted knits?

I like both myself and from handling the liberty it is nice leather. I am guessing you got a fluke.

Thx J...Left or upper or geenish knits ( green knits original to WW2 RW??? hmm) is BK...
sure nice...but for a 46” its fits me like a beer tent and is stiff as a prussian bunker..,even after 2 years of constant wear...by the original owner...GW same 46” ( pit pit) perfect!... no piggy hanging belly effect!
For the sake of the always claimed “ ours are the best 100% originals etc...”...note the construction an pocket design...

I'm sorry but, having seen work by both manufacturers in person and with the pictures above I have to say Goodwear is clearly the finer model. I have heard complaints about the inconsistency of BK quality control both online and in person. They seem to put out a mixture of really well made and er… not so well made- fit all over the place, fixtures falling off. I've seen some really nice work, but too many inconsistencies to make me want to risk buying from them.

The only reason I seem to see Goodwear being sold on is due to fit or due to a sudden near for fast money. However obviously Goodwear jackets also take a very long time to produce and maybe due to previously discussed problems John does seem to have issues with communications. I think he just needs to refuse any new work for a while and those ordering from him hopefully will be patient enough to understand he has had a tough time recently?

I can't comment on the new stuff being put out by BK, since I've never seen one of those in the flesh?

By my experience with both...again...and documented...I insist on documented with evidences...no moody argues...photos show it here and in another tread...
GW is by far again far and again far the better choice in regards of consistency, craftsmanship, authenticity, and reliability...( not getting insulted if you disagree..pe)..
My choice ..GW.

GW over any other make IMHO.
John nails the drape (thinner hides?) and doesn't have collars that are stiff and stick up past your ears when driving like ELC.

The BK has that look of those G-1's that had grain impressed on them. And too blousy based on those photos.

But some will like that and good luck to them but, Pilot, i'm with you.

Why are we asking which is which, the first pic shows BK's pocket label thus clearly identifying it!
Now, if your talking authenticity you'd need a third jacket, an original RW 27752 to compare but I'd go with the flow and bet that the GW is the most accurate, JC just seems to have the knack of getting it right, every time. Personally too, everything about the GW looks better.

Don't get me wrong, I think the BK still looks a nice A2 but as a direct comparison, well going by the pics at least, the GW wins for me! Again as has been said so many times, it's a matter of taste that only you as the owner/wearer can decide. Of all the jackets I own/have owned overs the years covering all styles, my GW continues to give me a lot of satisfaction in terms of fit and feel and I can't see it being surpassed and, it wasn't even made for me, it was recommended by JC from his sale page a good few years ago now!!

Yep, personal preference, budget and at what price someone says is their value-for-money top end.

There's room for all makers because there remains more demand than supply.

When talking flight jackets I'm always chilled, trouble is in expressing my views I do use !'s too much perhaps to emphasise my point, but I'm ❄️
