Us authentic is a one man show I thought and he is making $500 jackets .Plus how many emails would Dubow Greece get a week after all he has just started . Re JC yes you could ask him but he does not reply . Platon having made many jackets in the past in England and only making one makers Type A-2 simplifies things . The start up cost would be a sewing machine table light measuring instruments and a computer with email and a file with patterns and variables re the sizes . I just cannot see how companies are asking $1600 for a jacket ,its basically a shirt made out of leather .No back pleats ,inside pockets very uncomplicated and a good machinist can make one in 2 hours .

Authenticity and exclusivity always cost money.
It's a bit like a football card that is worth $thouands.... after all, it's just a bit of card with "some shit" written on it.....

FWIW, i'm pissed at those prices but only because i can't afford them. A business is in business to make money. If no-one bought from them, they'd drop their prices quickly. But it appears that non jacket afficianados can and do pay the money.

I'm wondering if the seal jackets will be shipped by this coming Wednesday (Halloween)? Last time Platon told me that mine is still scheduled to be shipped in October and if it's shipped by Wednesday it's still shipped in October.

I just posted facts supplied by Aero of how long a jacket takes to fabricate ,you take me out of context if I did not say making a jacket is easy .
And whats a mall jacket got to do with what I said . My statement was related to Platon making jacket for $530 and the competition charging $1200 plus,and I expect Platon to increase his prices . If he doubled them he would still be under the cost of other top tier companies
If you take my observations and statement as whining ,to me its putting forward my opinion statements on a forum .

Hasn't really bothered me... I'm used to 4 month waits just to get one of my lids blocked... Any specialty service for these kind of goods most of the time have 4-6 month waits IME...

Looking at the measurements, they match what Platon sent me exactly. That 42 would be perfect, but 1 inch too baggy in the chest.
