Here mine two sterling silver cased Bulova A-11 from 43..., from the Capt. Davis legacy...The right one will be listed soon ( no case) . Case is a keeper.
Both unmessed and running.

Love the one on the left it's almost black.
Thx a lot...It was almost untouched in the case since the 40ies. Runs perfectly , strong and accurate...Got a scratch on the cristal from two other watches...stockpiled in the case...another silver A-11 plus a Waltham A-17...

I think you misunderstood my first question about the price and servicing then, I was talking about the one on the eBay link.

My very skilled watchmaker asks 120 Euro for an oiling and cleaning...plus parts if needed, plus all the shipping costs.
No idea if an original second sweep hand is still available for these Bulovas.

I do my own servicing so how much if you take 120 euros off? ;) Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever paid 120 euros for an older watch.
I always see these Bulova auctions as a bit of a gamble as the 10AKCSH is the same movement as the 10AKC with the addition of the hack mechanism. IIRC they are all marked 10AKC on the train bridge under the gear. The hack mechanism is not visible without removing the movement. Been out of watches since winter so I’m not 100% on all this. I think that center wheel bridge is in the later military watches too but I’m still fearful of a switch of the movements. It happens.

The sterling case, alone, of this A-11, is a very good deal as of right now. You may have ear a lot about them inthis forum in recent times, but they’re not common. Additionally, for some reason, the usual nickel plated Bulova cases, for unknown reasons, have held up the worst, over the years when compared to the Elgin and Waltham cases. The usual Bulova cases are very often all “chewed-up.” I stayed away from a Bulova A-11’s because of this until I accidentally found a sterling case almost two years ago.
