Taobao help

I'd like to order an MA-1 from Taobao. I created an account, added the item to the shopping cart, but I cannot create a shipping address - Hungary is simply not in the list? I'm using chrome, then right click - translate to English. Does anyone have any experience with Taobao? What's the deal? Thanks in advance!

I found an option called "Nieuw (New)" - so I entered my real address everywhere I could, even in the notes. Payment sent, fingers crossed. This is gonna be interesting...

83 GBP for an MA-1, an A-4 cap and a Navy watch cap. Well worth the adventure :)

That's the problem with the Chinese products, ordering them is a pain in the backside and there's no real western hemisphere distributors. If you were based in China and were fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese and wanted a sideline business, setting up a western distribution model for these Chinese repros and vintage gear could be quite lucrative. Get matey with the manufacturers, set up a decent e-com website and Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your gran.

I had the same exact problem when I tried to order a Star A-2, but I am in the USA.

Due to the fact that I still have good contacts to China I actually considered already to set up a kinda import-bizz with that repop garment comin’ in

I check TB frequently for the items on my wishlist whether they are on stock in my size but even if I try to order the day they obviously restock (my size then pops up in the drop down list of the respective item) they are sold out already

Seems they got that taste of international sales and are no longer after domestic bizz????

Does anyone know how long it takes for the seller to ship? I placed the order on Sunday and it's still awaiting shipment. I hope it's just a delay, though, not because I screwed something up during the process. Then again, my card has been charged..

I know, shame on me, but I have some indescribable inner feeling against wearing originals...I'd be too worried to wear them ,and I want all the dirt and sweat on my jacket to be mine :) Who knows, maybe the Bronson will be a miss, and then I may consider an original.

I think it should be left to everyone's appreciation if we want to wear repro or originals. If you're not looking for 100% accuracy and a decent price, then what's the issue? Especially if you don't want to cuddle it, as Greg said. Personally, I'd be ill at ease wearing an original, for the same reason he is.

Plus, as I already mentioned numerous times, buying an original is not a luxury we can all aford. In my case, I'll NEVER find an original that will fit in sleeve length and body length while not being 3 sizes too big.

Even if it will be Yeager's jacket? :)

In the case of nylon, there are no problems - dry cleaning works wonders and in any case, and good luck - after all, the main thing is that you'll happy in the end, Greg.

GOOD FIND Dmitry. Gregg, pounce... Return the Bronson! Or keep both. At this price.... Patch one up and leave the other 'clean'. At that price, its worth the gamble... Get them to send without the box, tags in pocket as an old secondhand jacket, low values etc...

I'm pretty sure I need an L in originals. My Alpha is an L too. Also, the shipping to Hungary is almost as much as the jacket itself. :(
