Sorry I can see you are a contract specialist but isn't the contract 33H5595? You are saying that's a purchase order. Isn't that number the spec. for that run of jackets?

BTW i wasnt being argumentative at all , i was nust wondering where you got rhat info from originally ? The Full Gear book ?
The 33H535 is the prefix number denoting Air Corps (AC) material .
Notice the P at the end of the remaining numbers ?
Denotes Purchase order .
Im no expert by all means but i do have a list of all contracts issued by the US Goverment for the military between 40 and 46 .
Aeroleather Beacon had only 3 contracts over the $50k mark between the 41 and 42 fiscal years .
My assumption is that any order number ending in P could is a purchase order which could have come from any of B3 contracts awarded to Aeroleather Beacon .

Im always willing to learn and if im wrong in my assumption i will stand corrected and be taken in the morning to a place where ill be shot ! :D

No no mate. Not taking you to task. Just trying to learn something. Could you share a list of B3 contracts? I guess what you are saying is that even though the order to produce the jackets was made in 1941 the jacket wasn't necessarily made in 1941. It could have been 1945?

What im trying to say i suppose is this , excuse the longwinded explanation , but im sure @Officer Dibley can verify how the US military works now , which im sure hasnt changed that much over the years in their procurement structure .
Right , here goes , my idea is this
The contracts would have been awarded in , lets say in October 41 ( 42 Fiscal year) . A purchase order could/would have been made off that contract . you getting me :) , so probably at Aero for example , they affixed labels with just the PO number to a whole order from a particular contract ? And then the "books" would tally up at depot/base budget level .
Remember that alot of gear was procured outside of Material Command and it was from Depot /base level that alot of this kind of labelled gear was procured .
Ever seen a B6 helmet with the actual contract maker ?? they all seem to be with the "P" .

As for disclosing my list of B3 contracts , im afraid at the moment im not going to publicy post it , long story !!! . Sorry about that .

Lol mate .... have followed that story I'm not invested won't get involved...and no comment. As for Contract fulfilment could have lasted four five years.

Lol ! as long as you understand my reasoning ! :D
Anyway , the B3 was limited standard in May 43 , with the advent of the AN-J-4 being standardised in the same month so the likelihood of them being produced after that ,you would have thought slim , as the AAF would surely just want to be running stocks down ??
