I can't wait till I can participate too. Well, I don't have much to sell, but looking forward to having a chance to buy something one day if anything pops up in a 36R.

Around here you need to add at least 8” and more like another 10” or 12”. I’m struggling to see much in a 40”!

Cheers

Officially 21st July.
It states on your profile member since 21st April.
As it’s three months that’s the date.
It could be argued some flexibility needs to put in place here. Still I am not in the Admin team.

Carl as gar as i remember it ain‘t the length of membership but how many posts resp. how active you are on the forum ...

I‘m pretty sure it should be possible to do so by now ...

PS: if you have something for sale in size 44 ask me first ... :)

4. Your account must be at least 90 days and have 25 posts to participate in the buy/sell section.

I know thx for the reminder but despite the fact there ain’t that much „newcomers“ with real „potential“ i‘d tend to use those rules also according to a special person/ member / newbie ...

Just my 2 cents

to quote a phrase by Harry Day of the Royal Flying Corps
"Rules are for the guidence of the wise and obedience of fools "

Personally , and it is only a personal opinion from an "outsider" looking in ,and also a moderator and admin on other forums , i think the forum might have made a rod for its own back with this type of rule , positive posts would be more beneficial to all
But thats just me sounding off and not a deliberate attempt to undermine any ruling thus made before my arrival .

I wish i could have found my original log in details now and didnt have to re-apply again . Dohhhh !!!

My final statement: I work as a „auditor“ and visit and check new potential suppliers for my company (automotive) - part of the check‘s is whether they follow standards both international ones as well as their own standards ...

Each time I find a deviation I ask my counterpart why they didn‘t follow the rules and if there is a proper answer to this fine for me coz it is almost impossible to foresee all situations

From my point of view here we have a special situation which would need special measures

Sticking to rules makes life easier but also suspends you from making own decisions ...

I hope I could express what I try to say even with my bumpy English

If the forum still not agrees again i‘m Open to post your classifieds or just sell it at another forum so it‘s maybe the loss of a fellow forum-member to not get what you currently want to get rid of (from the pics I know Carl does not collect crap means he also does not wanna sell crap)

I understand what your saying Thomas , i to worked for a big national company here in the Uk as one of their depot managers . So know that rules guidelines call them what you will need not be adhered to , often in the best case for either company ,group etc .
Make the " shopfront" appealling and the custom will come pouring in !

So who were the people responsible for making the ruling in the first place ?? was it a democratic decision ? or was it a "its my ball "scenario ? are they still active posting members ?

As a new member im unable to reply to the thread in the classified section regarding "new members selling " and having read it , it makes one feel so good inside that they are not to be trusted and their honesty given a chance to show . so when the time comes that i am able to sell , are you going to buy from me ? you are because ive been here 3 months , thats going to make a whole world of difference isnt it ? Im still that very same person who joined the forum showing his collection, posting info about the hobby he loves , oh but thats ok your all getting somthing for free .
No, its all about the BAD, nobody seems to mention all the good deals that they have had off newbies and not so newbies ??
