What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Yes Matt, it’s an older Good Wear, so it was at least second hand to me. It was an experiment for a John in mixed/mismatched hides, I think.
The front panels were great - very heavily grained and full of character, but the rear sleeve panels and the back panel were very different (no real features and significantly stiffer). Try as I might, I couldn’t make the back look as good as the front...

May not be the same, since its butter soft also for the back and arm panels. Grain in the front is more pronounced since the back is always „ stressed, or compressed“ .
Very happy with the jacket anyway!

Pilot, it appears that you are between the dog and the fire hydrant here, and there is only one solution remaining for you: you cannot ever turn your back on anybody. Sometimes I wonder if the boys who flew the Mustangs were ever perplexed by the concept of patina, or even thought about any of the jacket related things that we hash over on a daily basis. If such was the case we probably would have lost the war. I would venture to say that back then the feeling about wearing apparel was diametrically the opposite of what it is today. People took great pride in their new shoes, hats trousers, gloves, and leather jackets. When I was a kid there were shoe shine stands everywhere.

Yesterday was the first time in about 8 or 9 months that I hadn't worn a jacket at some point over the day!
Used to be like that with Fedoras for me.

Well thanks to some cooler temps here in New England, been wearing my ELC. I cut the lawn in it, feed horses, wrestle my Husky and just walk around the place like a badass in it. Love it.

Damn fine looking A-2. Kelso should ask use your jacket in their advertising.
Not to geek out, but the upper sleeve creases at the shoulders are something you see on originals but rarely on repros. Very cool!

30 Degrees outside. A/C maxed up to break in this bad boy while kicking back on the couch. Old school Buzz Rickson Rough Wear 23380 A-2. Absolute cracker. Colour is absolutely on point. Sensational patina and in VG to EXC used condition. First MXXXXX model A-2 I have seen in this condition in a decade of Yahoo hunting.

Dog rescue. They ran off around the lake and had to go hunt them down and bring them home. Not exactly Dunkirk but was wearing the ELC.
