My Aero 42-18775-P // 2 years

For those of you that are not on TFL, here's a copy/paste of my post up there about my now 2 years old Aero A-2!

So it's been almost 2 years since I received my Aero 42-18775-P, and I wore it most of the time since then. I've never baby-sitted it, worn it through pouring rain, slept with it on a couple occasions, and so on. It's been my faithfull companion through thick and thin, and I love the way the jerky hide has aged.

I thought it'd be nice to show a couple pictures here, showing the general shape and some specific spots where the dark seal has worn off, showing the unddrtones.

So, there you go !

Sweet looking Aero and really aging beautifully. It's remarkable how well Aero knits hold up over time.

They do don't they, Grant? But after 17 years the cuffs do start to show wear, well the left one has anyway...........
I also knocked a hole in the waistband the day I made it doing the zipper top stitch with blunt needle, luckily the hole hasn't run

And that’s how you treat an A2 jacket. Wear the piss out of it and don’t coddle it and you’ll have a great looking jacket in a couple of years.
Thanks for the pixs Cocker

Thanks a lot, folks! What's the point of having a leather jacket if you don't live in it, right? :p

I'm sure, at some point, I'll have some other leather jacket. but this one was my first, and she's the one I'll keep on wearing until it's either destroyed (which I highly doubt can happen with "normal" use), or I'd outfat it (there's no such thing as outgrowning at our age). If the finish gets too damaged at some point, I'll go for a "depot re-dye" and will keep on wearing it.
