ELC Mixed batch Perry B-3 after nearly four years wear

Tjoenn, your jacket looks very different to Andrew's
The jacket is not shiny at all so photo is not very accurate in that respect, but the redskin sections are certainly a darker shade than other Perry's I've seen pictures of, giving a smaller contrast between the two colors. The horse trim is true russet color though, leaving the jacket with three different shades of brown which I quite like.

I have to ask a question. Is that type of grain authentic, or is it something dreamt up by repro manufacturers?

Further to Persimmon's question concerning changing the zip slider. A couple of years ago I had to change the slider on my ELC B3. I documented the process in a thread entitled "Talon Zipper Pull for Eastman B3". Not sure how to place a link to the thread in this post, but the thread is under the general discussion forum. I hope that it's helpful.

I start to cry over all these nice jackets/scans/Perry’s...and do regret that I have an ELC Redskin RoughWear only...
Great jackets and nice photos, thx for sharing ...

Fantastic jacket! That must be one of the best looking B-3 jackets I've ever seen! Wish I could get mine looking like that!

the simple white meat ball decal came from an ebay seller. it is the iron on type, which means that when ironing on, you have to do it fast, and with iron on medium [no steam], so as to not pucker the leather. the idea to use a simple white meat ball came from two of my original a-2s that have them. i believe that the white meat balls were applied on jackets in the eto only.

I think less contrasting panel colours be my choice that's why Vic's jacket looks so good. It's such a shame that the fleece on the Perry is on the fluffy dull side. Just my preference that's all.

nice one!

actually i`d be happy if my "50CAL" B3 would show more different color shades like yours does

did you add the Airforce Decal by yourself?????

by myself? ubet boss. and the fur is kinda moe, larry and curley. it got that way by turning the jacket inside out, and wetting it, and leaving it out in the sun. good ole mother nature did the rest. the sun also bleached out some of the initial reddish hue that the fur had initially. i reckon thats what happened to originals.....until they yellowed with age.
