Thanks for that. I will be in France and Europe starting from 15th of Feb. and will stay at least 6-7 weeks. Sourcing the material is not a big deal, MASH has a quite good selection of spares and is arround the corner ( 2 flight hours ). I am also travelling to Japan every 2 weeks.
OK, will try my luck. Again thx.

Did I understand well, is BK now UK based?
Do they have a show-room?

We can also sell you the materials if you want to have the work done elsewhere. We have a rainbow of knit colors and 100% cotton, A-2 tan and mustard color material.
Regards,
Jay

Yes, I have been doing repairs to my own for over 20 years and for others for the last ten or so but don't really publicise it as work comes via word of mouth. Much of my time these days is spent restoring Irvins. B-3s and A-2s.

I think most here would agree that Andrew's repairs have been indistinguishable from original. Does nice work!

Is it best to pm u for details damm I've been admiring a lot of your jackets basically everyone I'm lucky enough to see and would have nothing but confidence in u carrying out the works, is it best to pm u to discuss as I got couple projects but Aero responded immediately with a decent quote and I'm a man of my word nice one Art

I can vouch for Andrews work, I've seen a lot of his jackets plus he replaced some wrist knits for me on an ELC house A2 a few years ago, very neat job?

Not sure how the ? appeared on my earlier comment which reading back seems to cast a little doubt over the job Andrew did for me but I can assure you that's a typo error and as my comment says, a great job done by Andrew.

Art, as to the colour of knits then certainly rust/ berry knits did exist mainly on Aero's and a few Dubow's but there's been much discussion here as to the correct colour - ELC's A2 jacket manual illustrates well the range of colours used but poss the best person to answer you is Ken Calder of Aero who regularly chips in here with comments as his company did the replacements you like - they do look a bit too orangey from what I see!!

Yeah I've messaged ken asking for a set like that as I like the brightness hopefully it's not just a filter. Thing is the vendor I've been recommended received them in stock but they seem more of a dull rust so ive asked ken for a set.. Mash advertise a set as red brick I'm wondering if these are actually different, as soon as ken confirms he has them for me I'll order and then I'll be able to compare both sets and decide which to use. By the way I'll be comparing the eBay ones with the ones I hope to get from ken ..Nice one Art

I always thought that Aero had a dull red brick almost clay in colour and Dubow a dull berry colour. Both were not of the bright hues although shots straight out of the camera seem to intensify the colours of each somewhat

Not original but I do like the brighter colour
