a few pics of a recently acquired G-1
Great jacket.
Would order one immediatly if a real maker label would be available...but very nice jacket and superb craftmanship
For me yes...but thats me...Looks a great jacket.
A label makes a difference to buy the jacket for you ?
Many original ww2 jackets has lost their original labels through one reason or another. Still makes them fine jackets
Thx!Very occasionally, and if it’s not available with an original maker label and I really want that jacket, I will buy with a modern maker label. However my preference will always be for an original maker label. For example, with the choice in original maker A-2’s there is I can’t imagine buying a repro maker labelled A-2.
strange... my personal opinion is that a repro jacket should have it brand label and not an original copy.
What will prevent in 10 or 15 years from selling a ruined repro that have an original label copy as an "real original" ?
If I make a perfect copy of a 1959 Gibson Les Paul with the "Gibson" logo/label and a real serial number it's no more a repro.. it's a counterfeit
Nice! One of the best G1 repros in my opinion. The only thing I don’t like is that the pockets have different sizes.
